Today is the Liberation Day (8.15) holiday in North Korea, the holiday marking the end of Japanese colonial rule in Korea following World War II. Today marks the 74th year of independence.

Today we bring you some photos Victory Day (7.27) and Liberation Day in 1953 from Chinese newspaper at the time. We only have these scraps saved from the original paper, so we don’t know which one!
